It doesn’t matter if you hail from Chicago, New York, Philly, Miami, LA or San Fran – no one is impervious to that comment. I think what parents don’t seem to understand is that city folks tend NOT to be trusting of strangers. You don’t just leave your cramped studio and walk into a giant hug-fest, ‘cept in certain parts of Ontario (so I’ve heard.)
